FEATURED ARTICLE
As a Pastor (but actually regardless of your “position” in your church), I have this recurring fear… not fear in the sense of emotional fear, but a fear of God… a reverence… a knowing in my gut that we must do what is right with God… a nightmare if you will… that week after week, year after year, decade after decade, we show up for Sunday service...
READ THE

STEP 2
DEVOTIONAL
TEACHING
JOHN NAPHOR
Listen to Author and Senior Pastor of Bethel Church in Edison, NJ, also a leader in the Gospel Mission Network School of Leadership, John Naphor.
STEP 3
BE ENCOURAGED
BY TESTIMONY
"I was homeless, on and off for about 4 years. There was this Korean man… who would bring me back to his home, feed me, allow me to shower, and he would just talk to me—he ministered the Gospel, but he only did it once.
The only way Salvation was possible for a guy like me was through..." —
Joe Keller
STEP 4
JOURNAL
YOUR
THOUGHTS
Think and journal your answers to the following questions to go deeper into today's scripture and meditation.
.
Why is there no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend?
.
What does it say about the Father's love in sending His only begotten Son to die for us?
.
What does it say about the Son's love that He willingly laid down His life for us?
.
Who are the true friends of God?
.
Write a letter to God thanking Him for His love. Thank Him for laying down His life for you. Make it personal and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you so you may encounter more deeply the love of God in your life! (Note: Keep this letter and read it whenever you feel afraid, lonely, or discouraged.)
.
Identify one or more areas of your life that you know you can be a better friend to Jesus by obeying His command. Be specific and determine to do what you know you need to do in order to obey God's Word this week.
LIVE IT OUT
The key to growing in the Lord is to not only "hear" God's Word but to apply it to our lives.
